At MICROWORKS Designs we harmonize light, design and architecture to create the perfectly illuminated environment for our clients. We particularly enjoy solving the problem of lighting in traditional and period homes. Our belief is that no home should have poor lighting or rely solely on decorative fixtures for illumination. There are imaginative answers to these problems.

Unlike many lighting consultants, we understand how things work, as well as how things look. Issues of customer ease of use, reliable operation, project management, and working with documents and tradesmen are all part of our expertise.

As architectural lighting designers, we are part of a collaborative team of architects, interior decorators and others, elucidating and creating a shared vision through lighting.

Our commitment is to provide a global view of technology in the home. Good lighting design and sophisticated electrical-electronic specifications are essential in high-end residential projects. Each project that you see on this site stems from our vision of extraordinary lighting design.

At MICROWORKS we believe that all technology in a home should be part of a single design. Edward E. Jaffe, IES, CSI, LTCD, President has had his work published in Architectural Digest, Interior Design Magazine and Home Theatre Interiors. He is a professional member of the Illuminating Engineering Society.
